BSVKey Gatherings: privacy notice

Effective 19 October 2026. Covers Gatherings (/gather), Paid DMs (/dm), live audio and the /mcp endpoint.

The short version

No accounts, no cookies of our own, no ads, no analytics. Your private key stays in your browser. What you write to the blockchain is public and permanent, so treat it that way.

Your key

Your private key is used only inside your browser tab to sign transactions. It is never sent to BSVKey. If you choose to stay signed in, the key is kept in this tab's sessionStorage and your public address in localStorage on your device, and it locks after 15 minutes idle.

What is public on the blockchain

Everything you pay for is a Bitcoin BSV transaction: your address, the amounts, the time, your seats, bids, messages, profile (nickname and links), images and logos. Anyone can read these, forever, and BSVKey cannot delete them. In private gatherings, what is said is encrypted with a key in the invite link; who paid whom stays public. Paid DMs are encrypted to the recipient; the payment is public.

What reaches BSVKey's servers

Third parties

Stored on your device

Settings you choose to save (audio devices, quiet mode, default gathering settings, private gathering keys) live in your browser's localStorage under bkg: keys. Clear them any time with "Clear" in My saved settings or by clearing site data. Export never includes keys.

Your choices and rights

You can use Gatherings without giving a name or email. To ask about, or to delete, feedback you sent, email us. On-chain records cannot be changed or erased by anyone. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access or delete personal data we hold; we will honor them for the data we actually hold.

Children

The service is not for anyone under 18.
