Terms of use

These terms cover bsvkey.com, run by Embryo Space Inc., doing business as BSVKey ("we"): the BSVKey app, the Name Market, the pay page, Verify, Sign in with .key, the site builder's guide and Comics. By using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Gatherings and Paid DMs also have their own terms, which apply on top of these. The disclaimers in the app's Legal, Risk and Privacy section are part of these terms.

What bsvkey.com does

bsvkey.com is a tool that runs in your browser. It creates or loads your Bitcoin BSV key, writes data to the blockchain, publishes pages, claims .key names, sends payments, and lets you buy and sell names. You sign every transaction yourself. We never hold your key or your funds.

Fees

• On Mainnet, a BSVKey service fee is added to the transaction you sign: 1,000 sat per write, 5,000 sat per published page, 2,000 sat to remove a page, 20,000 sat per name claim and 5,000 sat per name transfer. A Name Market sale costs the buyer 5,000 sat plus 2.5% of the price. Miner fees are extra. The page shows the total before you sign.
• Testnet is free practice and uses no real funds.
• Every payment is final. A broadcast transaction cannot be reversed, cancelled or refunded by us or anyone else. Failed or colliding name claims still pay their fees.
• Dollar amounts are estimates at a live exchange rate. You pay the BSV amount shown when you sign.
• The "Get BSV" links are paid referral links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Your key, your responsibility

• You alone hold your key, recovery phrase and key files. If you lose them, nobody can recover your funds or names. Anyone who has them can act as you.
• You are responsible for the security of your device, browser, extensions and network.
• Check every address and amount before you sign. Mistakes on the blockchain are permanent.

Public and permanent

Everything you write, publish, claim, list or pay for is recorded on the Bitcoin BSV blockchain. It is public, permanent and cannot be edited or erased by us or anyone else. Do not write anything you would not want the world to read forever.

Names and the Name Market

• Names are first claim wins. A name shown as free can be claimed by someone else before your claim confirms.
• The Name Market lists offers that sellers sign. Each sale settles in one on-chain transaction the buyer signs, and we never hold the name or the money in between. We are not a party to the sale and do not check who is behind a listing.
• A name gives no rights to any trademark, brand or person. Do not claim or sell names to impersonate others or to infringe their rights.

Content and conduct

You are responsible for what you write, publish and link. Do not use bsvkey.com for anything unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, harassing or sexually exploitative of minors, or to break, overload or get around the site. Because the blockchain is permanent we cannot delete content from it, but we may stop showing anything on our own pages, or stop offering a feature to anyone who misuses it.

Third parties

bsvkey.com depends on public blockchain services (including WhatsOnChain and GorillaPool), wallet apps and other services that we do not control. They may be slow, rate-limited, wrong or unavailable. Exchanges and swap services you reach from our links have their own terms.

Not advice

Nothing on bsvkey.com is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Cryptocurrency involves substantial risk of loss. Only use funds you can afford to lose.

Your obligations

You are responsible for following the laws and paying the taxes that apply to you. You must be at least 18 and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

Availability

We work to keep bsvkey.com running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause or end any feature, and change fees, at any time. Fees that apply are the ones shown when you sign.

No warranty, and limits on liability

bsvkey.com is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost funds, data or profits, or charges from third parties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the BSVKey service fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law where you live says cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use bsvkey.com after a change means you accept it.
